Google Chrome - The new browser on the block

Google, the Search Engine giant, has entered the Internet browser market with their latest product offering in the form of a brand new Internet browser, Google Chrome.

What does this mean for you - a retail website owner?

Well, firstly it means that you should be checking your own website's design to ensure that it displays and functions correctly in this new browser. Although it is a new browser indications are that with Google pushing the browser to more and more users it would seem the uptake may be faster than normally anticipated.
Making sure these early adopters can view and use your website is vital.

What does it mean for the web shopper?
Google has basically rewritten elements of how an Internet browser works, taking into account many of the most current elements of Internet web browsing; online video viewing, interactive browser gaming, online shopping and multimedia experiences.
Their new browser runs each web "window" in a separate computer process. This means that if a web page crashes it will not hang up your browsing experience in all the other web pages you are looking at.
