Mower Magic came to teclan for a website design that would give their company and products a fresh online presence. One of the main aspects of the design was the navigation system, and as the client has a large range of products this was challenge. We decided upon implementing two menu systems. The first is the top navigation showing the 'highlight' sections i.e. the most popular sections (which the client can change). The main challenge with this menu system was creating it in such a way that it automatically updates if the client adds or removes sections. The menu styling was key, and because the client has a large number of sections these were put into columns to allow for easy reading.
The second menu system is the departments menu. This menu was created bespoke for the client and uses a special filtering technique which allows the user to filter down the sections.
Another bespoke element created for this project was the automatic component price updating. This works when the user selects a component - the price is automatically updated on the screen with no page reloading required!
We built this site using CSS to ensure that download times are minimised and the site has improved Search Engine friendly features.
