Stage 1 - Design
During the first stage of the project we work with you to deliver a style for your e-commerce website that is designed to suit your business needs, increase sales, increase the users experience and increase the Search Engine Optimisation.
The design is separated into main four main areas.
- Homepage Design
- Brochure Design
- Section Design
- Product Design
Separating the design work into sections enables teclan to design the key areas of the site before moving on to Stage 2 of the project.
The reason behind creating a visual representation of the website is to enable the client to make any changes that are required at this stage rather than making changes further down the line when they are more difficult to do.

Stage 2 - Creation of Layouts
Once the design has been 'signed off' by the client we are able to move on to Stage 2 of the project. During this stage we create the layouts that are required based on the agreed design in the Actinic Software and create the functionality to make the site work as per the design.
Once we have completed this we upload it to one of our secure test areas to enable the client to view/amend/approve the work.

Stage 3 - Integration
Once Stage 2 has been 'signed off' by the client we move on to the Integration stage of the project. This is where we merge the previously created layouts with your site's snapshot.
This stage of the project is when clients begin to feel excited about their new website, as it's the stage where they can see their newly designed website complete with products and content.
This stage also includes any content specific functionality, as well as any snapshot upgrades to the most recent version of Actinic.

Stage 4 - E-commerce Functionality & Testing
During this stage of the project we carry out extensive e-commerce functionality and testing on the new website. This ensures that once the project is completed you will receive the most robust e-commerce website possible.
There are many different aspects to our testing processes such as:
- Validation
- Speed Reports
- Extreme Layout Testing
- Search Engine Optimisation Checking

Stage 5 - Aftercare
Unlike other website designers we do not leave you in the lurch once your project has been completed.
At teclan we have our unique Aftercare Package, which provides the support that you need when you first start out.
With our Aftercare Package you will receive:
- A detailed Handover Document - This document details all the layouts, variables, snapshot instructions, image specifications, how to use certain aspects of the site etc.
- 60 Day Project Support - This enables the client to call or e-mail with any queries or questions about the work that we have done.
- 1 Hour Project Consultation - Once the project has been signed off we will schedule the Project Consultation with you. Once you have received the final snapshot, this will enable you to ask any questions you may have, go over details in the Handover Document or anything else that you need answers to related to the project.
